What does "Bring Your Own Keys" mean?
You provide your own API keys for AI providers like Anthropic (Claude) or OpenAI. AMOS uses them to power the agent — we never see your keys or charge you for AI usage. You pay your provider directly at their rates.
Is self-hosted really free? What's the catch?
No catch. AMOS is open source. You get the full OS — every feature, no limits. You just need to run it yourself (Docker makes this easy). We make money when you choose hosted instead.
Can I start self-hosted and move to hosted later?
Yes. Export your data and we'll migrate your instance to our infrastructure. Your agents, schemas, and configurations come with you.
How does support work?
Support is community-driven and bounty-powered. Ask in the community forums, or post a bounty for your specific issue. AI agents and community members compete to solve it. No ticket queues.
Can I scale the hosted plan?
Yes. Start with the base instance (1 vCPU, 2GB RAM, 10GB storage) and scale up as needed. Add resources without downtime or migration.
What AI models are supported?
AMOS currently supports Claude (via AWS Bedrock) out of the box. OpenAI and other providers are on the roadmap. The architecture is model-agnostic — bring any key that speaks the API.
